The Buhari Media Organization (BMO) has called on Nigerians to support the country’s security agencies in their efforts to rescue the abducted students of Kankara Government Science School in Kankara, Katsina State.
The group stated that though these are tough times, Nigerians need to be tough and resilient, while keeping hope alive, assuring that the Nigerian security agencies would not let the Nigerian people down.
“Nigerians must stand together and support our troops against the antics and agenda of those who seek to destabilise the country.
“The attack on soft targets—harmless school children—affirms how cheap and weak these bandits are.
“Let us believe that our armed forces and other security agencies, who have been a reassuring force in tackling serious issues of insecurity would do the needful and rescue all those who were abducted by these bandits.
“President Buhari remains committed and dedicated to the security of the country and the protection of the lives of all Nigerians. The Kankara boys will be no exception.
“We are assured that the Military is on top of the situation, and would not let us down.
“The Chief of Air Staff, the Chief of Defense Staff, the National Security Adviser, the Inspector General of Police, and other top security commanders, are in Katsina to ensure the release of those abducted. They are on top of things, and this gives us a soothing belief that the Kankara boys will be rescued”, the statement added.
BMO stated that just like the government quickly responded during the abduction of the Dapchi girls and saw to their rescue a few days later, the Kankara boys will surely be rescued.
“The immediacy of the response assures us further, that the setbacks that come with delay will not be experienced here.
“And just like our troops took on the terrorists who made an attempt to override Askira Uba town a few days ago, and decimated them, we continue to believe in the capacity, will and firepower of our troops to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protect her citizens”.
