President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, on his birthday, praising his loyalty to the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda and his continued service to the nation.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Matawalle as a committed public servant whose contributions span education, governance and national security.
The President recalled the minister’s tenure as Governor of Zamfara State from 2019 to 2023, noting that he demonstrated leadership in addressing security and developmental challenges in the state before joining the federal cabinet.
Tinubu particularly commended Matawalle’s role in supporting ongoing efforts to combat banditry and terrorism, stressing that the fight against insecurity requires collective resolve and unwavering dedication.
He said the minister’s birthday comes at a significant moment in his personal life, as he recently performed the marriage ceremony for his children, describing the occasion as auspicious and memorable.
