The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has sacked the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Michael Hadi Ango. The development was announced on Friday in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
According to the statement, the most senior official of the FCT-IRS has been instructed to assume responsibility for running the revenue agency with immediate effect.
Ango had been appointed Acting Executive Chairman by the President on August 9, 2024, and officially assumed office on August 13, 2024.
