President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has begun a four-state tour with a visit to Jos, following recent attacks in Plateau State that claimed the lives of several citizens.

The President adjusted his itinerary, postponing an earlier planned trip to Iperu in Ogun State, where he was scheduled to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport. Instead, he is heading to Plateau State to commiserate with victims, the state government, and residents affected by the violence.

After the visit to Plateau, Tinubu will proceed to Lagos to observe the Good Friday holiday.

The rescheduled Ogun engagement will now take place on Saturday, April 4, when the President is expected to commission the Gateway International Cargo Airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft aimed at strengthening import and export operations and boosting economic activity in the state.

During the visit, Tinubu will also inaugurate a new Federal Operations Unit facility of the Nigerian Customs Service, along with operational vehicles.

He will return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday, during which he is expected to commission several infrastructure projects executed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. These include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a multi-agency complex named after the President, and a school complex.

The President will conclude the tour with a visit to Bayelsa State on April 10, where he is scheduled to commission projects completed by Governor Duoye Diri before returning to Abuja.
