The Senate President Ahmad Lawan has confirmed the defection of three lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Sahabi Alhaji Yau, representing Zamfara North Senatorial District.
Senator Lawali Hassan Anka, representing Zamfara West Senatorial District.
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North Senatorial District.
The senators cited the crisis in the country’s main opposition party as the reason for their defection.
