Honorable Mohammed Umaru Bago, a gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has received the endorsement of the State party delegates of Suleja, Gurara and Tafa Federal Constituency in Niger State.
The endorsement was made yesterday at a meeting held by the gubernatorial aspirant and leaders and delegates of the three local governments in Suleja Local Government Area, the capital of the Federal Constituency in Niger State.
The endorsement of Honorable Bago marks a watershed moment in the race for the APC gubernatorial ticket in Niger State.
The meeting had in attendance the three Council Chairmen of Suleja, Gurara and Tafa Local Governments, and was also attended by the Party Chairmen of the three Local Governments and all their delegates.
Honorable Mohammed Bago a serving member of the House of Representatives representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency has been re-elected to the seat for three consequent tenures; he is the longest serving member of the House of Representatives to represent the Chanchaga constituency.
The National Assembly third timer and former Banker has promised as part of his campaign to revitalize the economic fortunes of Niger State and transform Suleja to the economic hub of Northern Nigeria.
Honorable Bago who holds a Masters in Business Administration has promised to build a rail-line from Niger State to the FCT.
According to Honorable Bago, this is going to be made possible given the kind of investment that his tenure would attract to Niger State, as well as the peace and security his campaign promises to enthrone if he becomes Governor.
