The attention of Senator Tanko Al-Makura and the Al-Makura Support Organisation (ASO) has been drawn to the news of his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) sensationally carried by Premium Times and another unknown blog, earlier this evening.
While it is true that the EFCC invited the Senator to answer some questions bordering on some allegations to which he responded appropriately and effectively debunked, he was at no time detained and has since returned to his residence, to a dinner with political associates.
The Al-Makura Support Organisation (ASO) warns mischief makers to desist from campaign of calumny against the respected Senator who has served Nasarawa State meritoriously for 10 years, first as a two-term Governor, and currently as a Distinguished Senator, with unblemished records.
Sen. Al-Makura won’t be distracted by the antics of detractors as he remains committed to working assiduously to continue exemplary representation of his people at the National Assembly. He remains focused on the vision of galvanising a repositioned and reformed APC.
