The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) has approved the renewal license for the Unified Access Service licence and spectrum licence for wireless local loop in the 900MHz and 1800MHz band of MTN Nigeria. This was made know by the secetary of the company Uto Ukpanah
The UAS the Sectrum licence expired on 31 August 2011 has now been renewed for a further 10-period ending August 2031. MTN Nigeria said that it paid N71.6bn to renew its spectrum licence, and N374.6m for its UAS licence renewal.
Speaking of the renewals, Chief Executive Officer, MTN Nigeria, Karl Toriola, said, “Renewing our licences for another 10 years is very important to our business and enables us to continue to provide services to ensure the benefits of a modern connected life for our people.
