This year’s edition of the Abuja Lawyers league has undoubtedly lived up to its billing.
This year, we witnessed the return of Gadzama FC to the Abuja Lawyers League after their impressive debut season, last year. The team won its opening match against Rahusa FC (Mahmud Magaji and co.) with a massive scoreline of 6-0 before proceeding to beat Liman FC, 5-1.
As at last week, Gadzama FC and Bin Koto FC were tied in the first position of Group A after both teams beat Rahusa FC and Liman FC with the exact scoreline.
The much anticipated match between the group leaders, Gadzama FC and Bin Koto FC, took place on Sunday, March 6, 2022. After a keenly contested 40 minute match, Gadzama FC’s goal in the first half, was enough for the team to cruise to victory.
This win comfortably sees Gadzama FC into the round of 16 (knockout stage) as the champion of Group A. The team will take on the very physical, Chris Uche FC this Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 4:00 pm at D’Kings Turf, Al-Fayyium Street, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, Nigeria.
It is anticipated that this match will be very heated as the undefeated Gadzama FC will look to continue their unstained record in this years’ competition.
